Program Notes
Three Poisons is a Buddhist concept that explains the root of human troubles. The poisons are greed, hatred and delusion, each represented respectively by an animal: chicken, snake and pig. The piece is in three movements that abstractly celebrate the poisons and sonically explore the interrelationship between them.
